Both sides of the Menorah are hand painted with different pictures and it progressively opens up for each day of Hanukkah. On the first day one candleholder is open and the rest of the menorah is closed and so forth for each subsequent day until on the eighth day it is fully open. The Menorah is hand painted with acrylic colors and then lacquered. It can be washed by hand in water since it is coated with several layers of lacquer. Menorah size- open- 15.8" X 6.9" X 1.8"; closed- 7.5" X 6.9" X 1.8".

Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of
Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem Born in
Kibbutz Sha'alavim, he grew up in Jerusalem in an Orthodox
home and later in life adopted a more pluralistic approach to
Judaism. This background influenced Emanuel's style of
Judaic art, which is based upon a fusion of traditional motifs
and ancient Jewish manuscripts with modern and Oriental
art Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the
old and the new characterize Emanuel's work which is
designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio. The principal
